FME Closeout Inspection

FME closeout inspections are a very important part of the maintenance / outage process. Foreign material is never a good thing if left behind, it can cause blockages, damage equipment including rotating equipment.

Closeout inspections are typically performed on steam turbines, gas turbines, and electrical generators and highly recommended for other components such as condensers, pumps, headers, attemperators and other critical plant components.

In addition, when extensive work activities take place such as during new plant construction, plant start-up, major equipment additions construction and any other projects that open critical systems for maintenance or repair and dropped tools, debris or broken components may be present.

Many plants have foreign material exclusion (FME) programs in-place to prevent foreign material from entering systems, however nothing is 100% fool proof, and a solid FME retrieval plan should be part of the process.

That’s where Look Technologies comes in, we are a 24/7, 365 day a year inspection service & loose parts retrieval company who can mobilize quickly with same or next day service to assist your site in solving FME closeout and foreign material / dropped object problems. We have an excellent success records in very difficult situations.
